Terms of Service
Effective July 17, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Aphiliate Network, Inc. (“we”, “us”), the operator of BucketBooks at app.bucketbooks.app (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Use BucketBooks for a business you’re authorized to act for, and be at least 18.
What BucketBooks is — and is not
BucketBooks is bookkeeping software: it organizes your own financial data — bank transactions, marketplace settlements, categories — into books and reports. It is not tax advice, accounting advice, or legal advice, and we are not a CPA firm. Reports reflect the data and categorizations in your account, including automatic suggestions you are free to override. You (with your tax professional) are responsible for reviewing your books and for any filing built on them. Anywhere the product touches a tax concept, confirm the numbers with your tax professional.
Your account
Keep your credentials secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account. Adding a recovery email is optional but strongly recommended; without one, we may have no way to restore access if you lose your password.
Subscriptions and billing
BucketBooks is a paid subscription, billed through Stripe at the price shown when you sign up. If your signup includes a free trial, you won’t be charged until it ends. The campaign-only Founding Member offer has no trial: its displayed first-year amount is charged when you subscribe and it renews at the disclosed standard annual price unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don’t prorate partial periods except where the law requires it.
Your data
Your books are yours. You grant us only the license needed to operate the service on your data — storing it, syncing it, running categorization, producing your reports. You can export everything as CSV at any time, including after your subscription lapses, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Bank connections
Bank and card connections are made through Plaid. You authorize us to retrieve the connected accounts’ data on your behalf; your bank credentials are exchanged directly with Plaid and never stored by us. You can disconnect any connection in the app at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the service for anything unlawful, don’t attempt to access other customers’ data or probe the service’s security, don’t misrepresent who you are, and don’t resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. After a closure, we’ll keep your data exportable for 30 days before deletion, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice — in the app or by email if we have one on file — before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
